Morrissey tore the DPAC in Durham to shreds last night. This was my first show at the DPAC and from the acoustics to the raised seating to the architecture - near perfect theater venue. I'm glad I had a chance to see one of the greats there before the big move to Chi-town. My camera had to be put back into my car after snapping a few shots outside the venue, so the lower quality pics attached were captured by my iPhone... which was a bummer. I've included a link to last night's setlist below, but my highlights had to have been "How Soon is Now?", "This Charming Man" and "Life is a Pigsty" ... and of course all the flamboyant men with makeup and skull caps who rushed the stage in hopes of grabbing a smooch from "The Moz".
SETLIST : Morrissey Live @ The DPAC - Durham, NC 03/11/09
Red Cortez opened. They sounded like the bastard child of Chris Martin and the Followill bros.
Morrissey's epic backdrop of a sailor flexing his guns with a stogie in his mouth
... I guess the only downside was no "You Have Killed Me"
